Meet Thomas Galvin Image 1

Thomas Galvin is a conservative outsider who’s not a career politician. Thomas is a land use and water attorney with a background in real estate development and consulting. His #1 priority is to protect the Maricopa County taxpayer. He believes our most important issues are fighting Joe Biden’s inflation, fighting the rise of violent crime, promoting economic development, creating good jobs, and securing our water supply.

A lifelong Republican, Thomas has volunteered on countless campaigns for Republican candidates. Thomas Galvin is pro-life and pro 2nd Amendment.

As an attorney, Thomas has fought for residents all over Arizona. He has helped families obtain permits for home renovations or additions. He also successfully represented hundreds of residents who opposed a loud and obtrusive car wash from ruining their neighborhood.

Thomas was a policy advisor to conservative Brenda Burns at the Arizona Corporation Commission. He worked with Brenda Burns on fighting on behalf of ratepayers on pending electric, natural gas, and water rate cases. He saw first-hand how other politicians neglected their promises to ratepayers by approving unnecessary high rate increases.

Thomas worked on issues involving improvements to broadband, cutting red tape for businesses, maintaining safe gas pipelines, securing a reliable electric grid, and fighting to keep utility rates as low as possible.

In December 2021, Thomas was appointed to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to fill the vacancy for the District 2 seat. Since taking office, he has worked across the district - from Carefree to Scottsdale to Mesa and everything in between.

Thomas’ priorities in office include fighting inflation and addressing the disturbing rise of violent crime. In June of 2022, Thomas proposed and passed the largest property tax cut in Maricopa County history. He believes the Board must nurture Maricopa County’s strong economic development but ensure that we properly plan for continued growth. He also believes that Maricopa County must continue to create jobs for a diverse and thriving economy. Thomas is a strong advocate for fixing our existing roads, especially Highway-60.

Thomas also wants to prioritize proper investments in infrastructure, especially water resources. Securing our water supply is an urgent matter that needs an experienced water expert like Thomas.

Maricopa County needs a true conservative on the Board of Supervisors, someone who understands what works in our economy and how the government too often fails to deliver on its promises. Maricopa County needs someone who is not a career politician. Maricopa County needs an outsider, a conservative, and a fighter. Maricopa County needs Thomas Galvin.

Thomas has a Bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross and a law degree from the University of Notre Dame. Thomas, his wife, and their young son happily call Maricopa County home.
